About the Role

Our Emergency Departments operate 24/7 and provide stabilization and life-saving care to 95,000+ patients each year. We operate as a Level III trauma center, handling all medical emergencies, specializing in patients with active strokes and heart attacks, working with two dozen EMS agencies, and collaborating with ED physicians, residents, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Norman Regional ED has 45 beds, Norman Regional Nine has 12 beds, and Moore ED has 13 beds.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals ready for a fast-paced environment who can deliver the best patient experience, function well in a dynamic team, and represent our health system well.

Responsibilities

  • Systematically assesses and reassesses the health care needs of individuals, appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions, involving patient, family, and other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family, and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgment guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations, and policy.
  • Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence-based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts, and reach sound conclusions.
  • Evaluates discharge needs related to the plan of care, utilizing resources as needed.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare field preferred (requirements can be met by an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care; must be maintained through re-training for the duration of employment.
  • New graduates are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.

Pay

$27.84–$45.46/hr based on previous work experience.

  • Evening differential: $2.50/hr
  • Night differential: $3.00/hr
  • Weekend differential: $3.00/hr
