Registered Nurse RN Emergency Department

About the role

Banner Goldfield Medical Center is a 19-bed emergency department that is part of Banner Health. The department is recognized as Pediatric Prepared by the Arizona Chapter American Academy Pediatrics and is located in Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, East Mesa, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards.
• Plans and coordinates care for patients, including the discharge plan, based on assessment data and patient/family input.
• Delegates tasks to other licensed nurses and supervises the activities of the health care team.
• Evaluates patient progress and effectiveness of teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed.
• Communicates effectively with other health care providers and interacts with clergy to provide spiritual support.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
• BLS certification.
• One year experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of nursing practices and standards.
• Ability to prioritize and communicate effectively.
• Experience in emergency care and pediatric care.

Schedule

• Full-time position working three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM.
