About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department position at Aurora Medical Center Kenosha is a part-time role with a 12-hour shift, rotating weekends and holidays. The position requires one shift per week, 7a-7p.
Responsibilities
- Play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by American Heart Association within 6 months of hire.
Qualifications
A strong sense of initiative, adaptability, and the ability to respond calmly under pressure are essential; experience is preferred, but motivated new graduates who want a challenge are welcome.
Skills
Experience in emergency department setting is preferred, but not required. Motivated new graduates are welcome.

Schedule Details/Additional Information
RN for over 2 years (Med Surg will be considered)
Able to complete orientation full time, unless prior ED experience.
One shift per week
12 hour shift
7a-7p
Rotating weekends and holidays
Can support increasing FTE to a 0.6 FTE on day shift.
