Registered Nurse (RN) - ED - Emergency Department - $25 per hour

About the role

The Nursing Attendant position at Montefiore Medical Center requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with basic life support certification. This role is located in the Bronx, New York and is available on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living
• Maintains hygiene and grooming needs
• Facilitates communication and assists with patient mobility
• Maintains patient skin integrity and provides comfort measures
• Supports patient elimination needs and administers treatments
• Ensures patient safety and maintains a safe environment
• Provides patient care in accordance with policies and procedures
• Communicates effectively with patients and families
• Documents patient care accurately
• Performs equipment checks and follows infection control policies

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Graduate of State Certified Program or 1 year clinical experience as a nursing student/foreign graduate nurse

Qualifications

• Effective English communication skills
• Passes OHS Fit Test and OHS Annual Assessment
• Complies with MMC policies for attendance and sick call procedure
• Participates in assigned Performance Improvement activities
• Respects the rights of patients as outlined in the "Patient Bill of Rights"

Pay
