Role Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Dialysis Program provides specialized care for end-stage renal disease patients, including acute and peritoneal dialysis, in a welcoming environment. The RN will oversee clinical care during 10-hour shifts, deliver prompt, state-of-the-art treatments, and offer clinical direction to staff.
Responsibilities
- Assess and care for patients with complex needs, ensuring compliance with healthcare policies, OSHA, CMS, and regulatory standards.
- Develop professional growth by improving patient outcomes and expanding knowledge and skills.
- Supervise and direct clinical staff during shifts, providing leadership and ensuring quality care.
- Provide comprehensive dialysis care in a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards are met.
- Contribute to professional development and patient-centered outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current Maryland RN license; compact licensure preferred.
- At least two years of clinical nursing experience, including 12 months in med-surg, critical care, or emergency care.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association; CNN or CDN preferred.
- Supervisory experience and willingness to lead a team.
- Completion of CMS-approved training for water treatment system operation.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and specific hospital applications within 60 days of employment.
