Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Float Pool
About the role
The Surgery Circulator RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor. The role involves delivering direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Responsibilities include coordinating care with the surgical team, directing OR Technicians and other personnel, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
- Coordinate care with the surgical team, anesthesiologists, and other perioperative personnel.
- Direct and guide OR Technicians and other personnel while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
- Maintain adherence to the Universal Protocol and National Patient Safety Goals.
- Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services.
- Act as a resource for other personnel as needed.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current (preferred).
- Minimum of one year previous perioperative experience or on-the-job training (preferred).
- Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Qualifications

Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $50.30 to $67.62 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selection, considering factors such as skillset, years of experience, education, and credentials.
Schedule
The position is full-time nights.
