Registered Nurse (RN) - CCU (Per Diem)

Job Summary

The registered nurse works in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focusing on a patient-centered care model in a richly diverse work space. They utilize evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies, and procedures of the hospital, and as directed by the medical staff. The nurse develops a plan of care using the nursing process to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing (BSN preferred)
• One (1) year RN experience and/or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program required
• Ability to obtain and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire
• Current unrestricted License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
• Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications
