Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiology Short Stay Unit

About the role

Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Cardiology Short Stay Unit (CSSU) at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. The CSSU is a 14‑bed mixed cardiac‑specific inpatient and observation intermediate cardiac care area providing scheduled and emergency care/procedures 24 hours a day for patients needing emergency cardiac care and testing.

Requirements

• At least one year of medical/surgical experience in an inpatient setting
• Strong preference for cardiac and/or step‑down experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• BSN required or willingness to obtain within 3 years of hire
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware

Pay

Hourly pay range: $42.11 – $67.37 (actual salary within this range based on skills, experience, and qualifications)

Schedule

Full‑time position with 12‑hour rotating shifts (day/midnight rotation: 7 p.m.–7 a.m. and 7 a.m.–7 p.m.), weekends and holidays as required by the department.
