About the role
This role is for a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiac Telemetry and Congestive Heart Failure in a high-acuity unit.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily unit operations, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.
- Supervise staff within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
- Perform and supervise patient assessments, care planning, and interventions based on evidence-based standards, with a focus on safety and individualized care.
- Lead team communication, coordinate patient care, and maintain unit efficiency through staff scheduling, patient flow management, and participation in committees or quality initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering professional development.
- Build rapport with physicians and staff.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, ethical standards, and hospital policies.
- Promote patient safety, education, and emotional support.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise in cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, fluid and electrolyte management, and post-procedure care.
- Engage in patient rounds, interprofessional communication, and documentation to optimize outcomes and support a patient-centered approach.
Requirements
- Active RN licensure.
