About the role

This role is for a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiac Telemetry and Congestive Heart Failure in a high-acuity unit.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily unit operations, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Supervise staff within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
  • Perform and supervise patient assessments, care planning, and interventions based on evidence-based standards, with a focus on safety and individualized care.
  • Lead team communication, coordinate patient care, and maintain unit efficiency through staff scheduling, patient flow management, and participation in committees or quality initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering professional development.
  • Build rapport with physicians and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, ethical standards, and hospital policies.
  • Promote patient safety, education, and emotional support.
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, fluid and electrolyte management, and post-procedure care.
  • Engage in patient rounds, interprofessional communication, and documentation to optimize outcomes and support a patient-centered approach.

Requirements

  • Active RN licensure.
