About the Role
As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our Cardiac Renal Pulmonary Care Unit you will support our 18-bed tele unit specializing in the care of acute and chronic kidney patients ranging from acute kidney injury, new start dialysis, peritoneal dialysis, or septic patients to any acutely-ill patient. Our med/surg cardiac patients are also stationed primarily on this unit and are connected to cardiac telemetry monitored by the RN. Responsibilities
- Instruct and educate patients and their family members
- Administer all prescribed medications utilizing the 5 rights to medication administration
- Change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs
- Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
- Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, including patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Pay
Hourly wage estimate: $32.14 - $48.20 / hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical wage range of candidates hired.
