The Trinitas Cardiac Rehabilitation program is a guideline-recommended, evidence-based program designed to improve cardiovascular outcomes, reduce hospital readmissions, enhance quality of life, and support recovery following cardiac events and procedures. The current maximum capacity is 24 patients, with each patient completing a program of 36 visits.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring awareness of ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
- Maintain a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience, and assume responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others on the patient care team through communication and utilization of available resources.
- Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (e.g., damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.
- Understand the patient population served and supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members.
- Collaborate with other patient care providers and consistently set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
- Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care to address specific patient needs.
- Act as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager.

Requirements
- ASN or Nursing Diploma
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
- Proficient in interpreting cardiac rhythm strips
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
- BLS through American Heart Association (upon hire)
- ACLS Certification (upon hire)
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License or active Compact Registered Nurse License with New Jersey endorsement
Qualifications
- Preferred: Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and/or ER nursing experience
- Preferred: National nursing certifications
Schedule
- Part-Time
- 3 days per week from 4 pm - 5:30 pm
- 5 hours per week
- Evening shift
- Monday – Friday, with every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed by the department
Pay
The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $48.29 - $65.06 per hour if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
