Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Lab - Electrophysiology
Job Summary
Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focusing on a patient-centered care model in a richly diverse work space. They utilize evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies, and procedures of the hospital, and as directed by the medical staff. The registered nurse develops a plan of care that meets the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family. Specifically, the Cardiac Electrophysiology Nurse is a specialized member of the EP Lab team, involved in patient assessment and preparation, hemodynamic and rhythm monitoring, sterile procedural scrubbing, and circulating support during complex procedures like ablations and cardiac device implants.
Qualifications
- Current Connecticut RN license (BSN preferred)
- BLS certification, ACLS certification
- 2-3 years nursing experience preferred (2 years’ experience in critical care, emergency, or equivalent experience preferred)
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and work well under pressure
- On-call potential - discussion with hiring manager
