About the role
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Cardiac Cath Lab, providing patient care and supporting interventional cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after procedures
- Assist physicians with cardiac catheterizations, IR procedures, TEEs, ECVs, tilt table tests, pacemaker and ICD placements, and internal recorder insertions
- Administer medications, including conscious sedation, as per protocol
- Monitor patient status and respond to clinical changes
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety standards
- Accurately document patient care and procedures in electronic records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications & Skills
- Active RN license (WI or compact state)
- 1-2 years of Cath Lab experience preferred, with cardiac and interventional procedures strongly desirable
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience with Cerner system is highly preferred
Schedule
Schedule includes 10-hour days, with on-call duties.
