About the role

Registered Nurse (RN) 3W Cardiac Care Unit FT Night Shift (Hours: 7p-7a) Weekends & Holidays per the department guidelines
Wilmington Hospital 3 West is a 9-bed cardiac care unit at Wilmington Hospital. 3 West focuses on the care of short-stay patients with primary cardiac diagnoses, offering staff a diverse and enriching clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Care for short-stay patients with primary cardiac diagnoses.
• Cross-train on 1W Medical Observation Unit and 3M Medical Observation Unit.
• Offer care for adult medical patients admitted from the Emergency Department under Observation status.
• Provide care for adult medical patients admitted under observation status.
• Offer a dynamic, fast-paced environment characterized by high patient turnover.
• Transition patients requiring inpatient care from 3MOU to the appropriate inpatient unit.

Requirements

• DE RN license or Compact RN license.
• BSN preferred or the commitment to obtaining a BSN within 3 years date of hire.
• All applicants must have two years of RN experience.
• Acute care or sub-acute care experience is preferred.
• BLS required.

Qualifications

• Education: DE RN license or Compact RN license.
• Experience: Two years of RN experience. Acute care or sub-acute care experience is preferred.

• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.

Pay

Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05
