Registered Nurse (RN) - Burn Clinic
Full-time position in the Enterostomal Therapy department at Miami Valley Hospital.
About the Role
The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support, impacting patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing.
The RN utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service. The RN serves as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry, collaborating with and guiding care delivered by the inter-professional team.
The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients, families, and significant others.
- Utilize the nursing process and evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients.
- Collaborate with and guide the inter-professional team in delivering care.
- Ensure compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Valid Ohio RN license.
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital-based RN experience.
Skills
- Ability to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong organization skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Schedule
Full-time, 72 hours per pay period. Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM.
