About the role
Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Health, providing direct patient care in an Emergency Department Behavioral Health Suite.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessments
- Monitor and communicate patient conditions
- Collaborate across disciplines for care coordination, including transfers, admissions, and discharges
- Educate patients and families
- Delegate tasks to staff
- Precept students and new hires
- Ensure safe, supportive, and innovative care in a therapeutic environment
- Focus on patient outcomes and resource utilization
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of three years of acute care RN experience with this patient population
- Valid Maine RN license or ability to obtain
- BLS and MOAB preferred
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
Schedule
12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), 24 hours per week.
