Role: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) in an Emergency Department Behavioral Health Suite. Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, develop and evaluate care plans, monitor and communicate patient conditions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and educate patients and families. Delegate tasks appropriately and precept new staff or students as needed. Qualifications & Skills: Minimum of three years of acute care RN experience with the target patient population, valid Maine RN license or eligibility, BLS certification (MOAB preferred), strong critical thinking, flexibility, and excellent communication skills. Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development is essential. Key Duties: Assess patient needs, coordinate care including transfers and discharges, and support a therapeutic, patient-centered environment.
