Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health Float Pool

About the role

Spring Harbor Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Clinical Services Unit/Float Pool. The position is part‑time nights and the nurse will float to all inpatient units, serving adults and children of all ages. Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Collaborate, delegate, and communicate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
• Float to various inpatient units as needed, adapting care to adult and pediatric populations.
• Participate in shared governance and leadership activities within the unit.

Requirements

• Current applicable state license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Current BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of start date).
• One year of recent RN experience required.
• Eligible for sign‑on bonus: $10,000 for 1‑2 years RN experience, $20,000 for >2 years RN experience (prorated for part‑time hires; per diem and current/former MaineHealth employees with

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Ability to obtain any additional certifications required by department guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to care for most patients assigned and to seek resources to develop skills for unfamiliar patient types.

Pay

• Base pay range: $37.09 – $50.17 per hour.
• Eligible sign‑on bonus as described above (prorated for part‑time).
• Compensation for part‑time positions is prorated based on scheduled hours and FTE.
• Shift differentials and other incentives may apply.
