Lifepoint specializes in compassionate behavioral health services, including crisis stabilization, inpatient care, and outpatient treatment for acute mental health and substance use disorders. The organization's mission is to decrease suicide rates, reduce addiction-related deaths, reverse the decline in life expectancy, and enhance productivity in the communities it serves through a psychosocial model of care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the patient and plan care within set time-frames and document findings according to policies.
  • Oversee and supervise the shift.
  • Demonstrate leadership through duties that may include delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc.
  • Oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered by self and all members of the team.
  • Monitor patient for change of condition and respond accordingly up to and including notification of the physician.
  • RN will follow hospital policy for medication administration.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing or hold relevant state licensure.
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients preferred.
  • Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
  • Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Pay

$36 - $48 per hour. We would expect those hired into this job to be paid within this hourly rate, however, certain circumstances may allow us to pay outside of this hourly rate.
