Registered Nurse (RN) - Baylor Shift

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our team at Life Care Centers of America, a 47-year industry leader with over 200 locations across the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs through ongoing assessment and revise care plans based on changes in the patient’s condition.
• Provide clinical supervision to Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).
• Implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Nursing diploma (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing).
• Currently licensed/registered in applicable State.
• Maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.
• One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. Must remain current during employment.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing diploma (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing).
• Licensure: Currently licensed/registered in applicable State.
• Experience: One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Certification: CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation.

Skills

• Ability to evaluate patient needs through ongoing assessment.
• Ability to revise care plans based on changes in the patient’s condition.
• Ability to provide clinical supervision to CNAs and LPNs.
• Ability to implement and interpret departmental policies and procedures.
