A Day in the Life of a Registered Nurse (RN)

You play a vital role in our clinic. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose!

• Maintain careful monitoring of residents' condition and needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Maintain narcotic policies and procedures, monitor for side effects, and report any changes in condition
• Oversight of nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff to ensure resident care plans are followed
• Complete documentation and admit/discharge residents
• Report any bruises, skin tears, or neglect found during care
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPPA regulations and facility policies and procedures
• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues

Qualifications

• RN licensure with the KS Board of Nursing
• CPR certification
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations
• Desire to work with the elderly
• Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing (preferred but not required)
• Trustworthy and respectful of others
• Dependable, professional, and a team player
• Ability to establish a good rapport with others and communicate effectively

Work Schedule

This full-time health care position works 12-hour shifts. 7a to 7p.
