A Day in the Life of a Registered Nurse (RN)
You play a vital role in our clinic. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose!
- Maintain careful monitoring of residents' condition and needs
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders
- Ensure narcotic policies and procedures are followed
- Monitor for side effects and report any changes in residents' condition
- Oversight of nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff to ensure resident care plans are followed
- Complete documentation and admit/discharge residents
- Report any bruises, skin tears, or neglect found during care
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPPA regulations and facility policies
- Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues
Qualifications
- RN licensure with the KS Board of Nursing
- CPR certification
- Confidentiality and compliance with HIPPA regulations
- Desire to work with the elderly
- Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing (preferred but not required)
- Trustworthy and respectful of others
- Dependable, professional, and a team player
- Ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively
Work Schedule
- Full-time night health care position
- Saturdays and Sundays from 7am to 7pm (Baylor Incentive Program)
Pay and Benefits
- Competitive salary of $35.00 to $38.50 per hour
