About the role
Southwest Montana Veteran's Home is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join their skilled nursing facility. The position aims to provide comprehensive care, support staff, and maintain a positive reputation.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and appropriate interventions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Perform wound care, IV therapy, tube feedings, suctioning, and catheter care
- Supervise and guide LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing personnel
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care
- Accurately document care plans and clinical records
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by Montana
- BLS certification from the AHA
Qualifications
- Experience in long-term care preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer systems and software
