About the role
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm (3 -8 hour days/week or 4 - 6 hour days/week). Part Time.
Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment
- Phone and in-basket messaging and triaging
- Assist providers with minor procedures
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation
- Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel
- Preferred experience in the specialty
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills
Certifications/Licensures
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy
- Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
Candidate Preferences
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience in inpatient or ambulatory clinic environment
- Urology experience
- Team Player
