About the Role

The Registered Nurse at Jersey City Medical Center plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. They must demonstrate ethical standards of practice as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and adhere to evidence-based practice principles.
• Report and address safety issues and medical errors.
• Understand and apply knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members.
• Collaborate with other patient care providers to set and evaluate priorities.
• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care plans.
• Act as an interdisciplinary team manager and advocate for patient needs.

Qualifications

• Prior PACU, ICU, Cath Lab, or Emergency experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in computer skills.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement.
• BLS from the American Heart Association and ACLS/PALS certification required.

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Scheduling Requirements

Day Shift: Monday through Friday, flexible hours between 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM. Scheduled as needed with a minimum requirement of 2 shifts per month. No weekends and no holidays.

Pay

$47.85 - $67.04 per hour.
