Ambulatory Surgery Center Registered Nurse (Per Diem)

Opportunity Overview

US Fertility, the nation's leading partnership of physician-led fertility practices, is seeking an Ambulatory Surgery Center Registered Nurse (Per Diem) to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Orlando, Florida. The role is scheduled three days per week, including weekday and weekend shifts; rotating shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 5:45 AM to 2:00 PM.

How You’ll Contribute

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care in the operating room setting
• Assist in pre-operative assessments and verifying surgical consents
• Perform pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative patient care duties for surgical procedures including egg retrievals, hysteroscopies, embryo transfers
• Maintain sterile field and ensuring adherence to infection control protocols
• Document patient care in the EMR system in real-time with attention to accuracy and detail
• Provide post-operative education and discharge instructions to patients and their partners
• Support a collaborative and emotionally supportive environment for patients and staff
• Maintain inventory of OR supplies and recommending cost-effective ordering strategies
• Participate in training, development, and education for new nursing staff or surgical support

Qualifications and Skills

• Current RN license
• 1 year of recent experience in an operating room, PACU, or ambulatory surgery center setting, preferred
• Current AHA, BLS, and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Strong understanding of perioperative nursing principles, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols
• Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced and high-acuity surgical environment
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Professionalism, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit
