About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
Ambulatory Infusion staff are knowledgeable in the care of patients with cancer, autoimmune diseases, infections, and more. We provide expert care to patients and all of their infusion needs.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, evaluate, and reassess the ongoing needs of patients and their families.
- Organize resources to meet patient needs within the scope of practice.
- Recognize symptoms, drug properties and interactions, treatments, and preventive health-care measures.
- Initiate proper action and accept responsibility for decisions, demonstrating professional accountability.
- Apply critical thinking to analyze, organize, prioritize, and make effective decisions.
- Identify complex problems, review related information, and implement solutions using creativity and alternative thinking.
Requirements
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license.
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification.
Skills
- Computer Literacy: Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Ability to operate applications, write software, set up functions, enter data, and manipulate and process information.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze, organize, prioritize, and make effective critical decisions.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify complex problems, review related information, employ creativity and alternative thinking to develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions.
- Patient Care: Possess the skills and knowledge needed to assist and care for others. Ability to recognize symptoms, drug properties and interactions, treatments, and preventive health-care measures within scope of practice.
