Registered Nurse (RN) After Hours / Weekend Nurse 7 on 7 off

About the role
As an After-Hours Hospice RN, you’ll be a voice for your patients, ensuring they receive quality care while communicating with patients, families, and the hospice care team. This salaried, full-time position covers on-call hours from 5 PM Friday to 8 AM Monday. You’ll be fully supported by our 24/7 RN-staffed Triage Department and your local hospice team.
This role is ideal for compassionate registered nurses who value meaningful patient interactions and are committed to advocating for those in their care.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a patient advocate to ensure quality care.
- Communicate with patients, families, and the hospice care team to coordinate the plan of care.
- Provide compassionate, present care to patients and their families during after-hours shifts.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state RN license.
- 2+ years of nursing experience in a clinical care setting (hospice experience preferred).
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently, and lift 80–100 lbs.
