About the role
Supervises and coordinates hospital activities with emphasis on communications, patient throughput, patient experience, rounding for quality, safety and operational efficiency, performance improvement activities, service recovery, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Interacts with nursing and hospital teammates in daily operations. Acts as administrative designee for Administration, responding to immediate needs or investigating/complaining investigations or emergency events.
Responsibilities
- Communicates administrative problems and actions to nurse leaders, Administrator-On-Call, and senior administrative leaders.
- Rounds on all units to assess efficiency and productivity, and gain insights into patient care, teammate, and physician satisfaction.
- Guides staff in understanding and complying with healthcare laws and company policies.
- Aids in coordinating communication throughout shifts via huddles, rounds, or meetings.
- Supervises nursing personnel, identifies issues, initiates corrective action, and documents actions.
- Provides advice and assistance to nurses on administering new treatments, interpreting policies, and responding to emergencies.
- Coordinates patient flow and throughput, participates in admissions/discharge meetings, and works with interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintains staffing for shifts through assessment of volume and acuity needs.
- Maintains clinical and professional competency in supervision of patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
- Two years nursing experience preferred.
- Previous management experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of hire/transfer date, to be completed within 3 years.
- BLS required.
- CPI certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Professional certification within 1 year of eligibility for certification exam.

Pay
$44.15 - $66.25 per hour based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
Schedule
3, 12 hour shifts per week. Weekend rotation. 7A - 7P.
