REGISTERED NURSE (RN):8-hour Nights (10:30pm-07:00am)
Overview
Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., has been a beacon of hope and healing for over 35 years, serving those struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues. Located in Shippensburg, PA, our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13–17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. Registered Nurses work on our Adolescent, Adult Mental Health Units, or Substance Use Disorder Unit, providing professional nursing care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
Responsibilities
- Prescribe, coordinate, and delegate nursing care on a designated unit
- Complete nursing assessments and document care and progress of the patient each shift
- Facilitate medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education
- Respond to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety
- Attend Treatment Team to aid in the development of patient care plans
- Oversee and direct mental health technicians in patient care activities
- Remain accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and promote/enhance professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON
- Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required
Qualifications
- Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania (or eligible to receive or renew)
- Current CPR or BLS certification

Schedule & Compensation
Full-time position with an 8-hour night shift schedule (10:30 pm – 7:00 am), rotating every other weekend and holiday. Overtime opportunities and the ability to cover various shifts are available. Qualifies for up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus for a two-year commitment. Part-time option available (some benefits and sign-on bonus excluded).
