Registered Nurse (RN) - 6CV Surgery
Responsible for providing care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and other standards established by professional groups and regulating bodies. Nursing care is delivered following ECU Health and entity-specific nursing policies, procedures, and professional standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate nursing care, including collection and analysis of assessment data.
- Identify expected outcomes and develop a plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
- Implement interventions identified in the plan of care and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes.
- Document the care process, ensuring sensitivity to age-specific and unique patient/family needs.
- Promote and evaluate the effective functioning of the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to meet patient/family needs throughout the episode of care.
- Delegate tasks and activities as appropriate and governed by the NC Nurse Practice Act.
Requirements
- Current North Carolina Registered Nurse license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Pay
Pay Range for Staff Nurse II: $38.40–$52.80 per hour. Final compensation will be based on career ladder placement.
Schedule
0.9 FTE (three 12-hour shifts per week). Orientation: 14–16 weeks.
