About the role

A Registered Nurse (RN) at Westhaven will provide hands-on nursing care, administer medications and treatments, monitor resident health, and support individualized care plans alongside a skilled clinical team. The ideal candidate is a skilled and dependable RN who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is committed to enhancing the lives of older adults.

Responsibilities

• Displays a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Works to coordinate, oversee, and provide resident-related care.
• Administers medications and/or treatments in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.
• Manages medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Documents care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
• Notifies Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and takes follow up action as necessary.

Requirements

• Current Iowa RN license and be in good standing.
• CPR certification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.

Schedule

Full-Time working varying hours including every other weekend and every other holiday
Shifts Available:
Days: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
Evenings: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Nights: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am
