Registered Nurse (RN) ($3,000 Sign-On Bonus)

About the role

The Citadel of Sterling is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. The position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus for full-time RNs working on Second or Third Shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of assigned work area, resident care rooms, and treatment areas
• Takes and records residents' blood pressure and vital signs, administers catheter care, IV therapy, and provides respiratory care
• Charts nurses' notes in a detailed manner reflecting the care provided and the resident's response
• Maintains a safe environment for residents, immediately addressing potential safety risks
• Communicates/reporting information to residents, families, physicians, guardians, governmental agencies, and facility personnel as required
• Ensures the implementation and maintenance of resident care plans and makes recommendations for changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Maintains compliance with infection control standards and addresses non-compliance immediately
• Fulfills other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Gracious and welcoming personality for customer service interaction
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize work
• Understands and follows infection control standards, policies, and procedures
• Able to adapt to a flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel
• Positive attitude towards working with short and long-term care residents and the elderly
• Meets all health requirements as required by law
• Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications

Education and Experience

• Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State
• One year of experience preferred
• Long-term care experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling
• Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices
