Registered Nurse (RN) (2nd shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts Nursing Assessments and monitoring of clients
• Member of the Treatment Team
• Handles the medication management; trains staff on medication dispensing
• Ensures Universal Precautions of the center
• Facilitates Health Education groups including General Health Education, Medication/Drug Interactions
• Observe and assess clients for clinical signs and symptoms and follow the prescribed course of treatment
• Determines and implements specific protocol as designated by the Doctor

Requirements

• Active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kentucky
• 2 or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
• Substance abuse experience preferred

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to interact with staff and clients in a professional manner
• Able to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
• Computer literate with experience in a Windows environment
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to prioritize work and work-related responsibilities

Skills

• Ability to interact with a multidisciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health
• Ability to communicate with the Case Manager and assist in ensuring the safety of the client
• Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assume responsibilities not delineated in the job description which is related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team
