Essential Functions
- Highly motivated and able to assist in all aspects of nursing
- Provide services that exceed company and regulatory standards
- Initiate and lead individualized nursing care plans
- Assess and document the resident's condition and nursing needs
- Accurately and promptly implement physicians' orders
- Assign nursing care to team members in accordance with the resident's needs and the person's capabilities and qualifications
- Administer medications
- Start IVs and perform treatments for assigned residents
- Document treatment as required
- Ensure that supplies are utilized economically, and that equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing
- One year of nursing experience is preferred
- Valid RN license
- Valid CPR certification
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff
