Position Summary
Maintains the work flow of the clinical area and directs clinical staff according to providing excellent patient care with direction from Charge RN or Physicians. May be responsible for maintaining appropriate logs and licenses for laboratory, CLIA, vaccines, and medications under regulatory guidelines. Responsible for storing and managing clinical supplies. Works closely with physicians, Medical Director, and Management. Provides direct patient care in a courteous, caring, and respectful manner. Documents accurately in the EMR system according to licensure and VMG policy and procedures.
About the Role
Rotating to other VMG locations from time to time may be required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain work flow and direct clinical staff
- Provide excellent patient care
- Maintain appropriate logs and licenses for laboratory, CLIA, vaccines, and medications
- Manage storage and inventory of clinical supplies
- Work closely with physicians, Medical Director, and Management
- Provide direct patient care in a courteous, caring, and respectful manner
- Document accurately in the EMR system
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing with a minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a clinic or outpatient setting required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing)
- Computer and keyboard skills
- Medical terminology required
Qualifications
- Current and valid New Jersey RN
- Current and valid BCLS certification required
- Effective critical thinking skills (analytical, clinical reasoning, decision-making, problem-solving, time management, etc.)
- Outstanding interpersonal, service excellence behavior and customer service skills required
- Strong orientation towards the provision of high quality, cost-effective, and comprehensive medical care
- Effective organizational and time management skills to set priorities and respond quickly to urgent/emergent situations
- Effective communication both oral and written and presentation skills to convey information in a clear and concise manner to persons of various age groups, customers, and/or groups
- Ability to create, maintain, and support a high-functioning team; establish and foster cooperative working relationships with staff and management; and function effectively as part of that team
- Courteous, caring, respectful, and compassionate behavior at all times
- Ability to represent the organization positively at all times
- Ability to respect confidentiality of private healthcare, financial, and other company information at all times
