Responsibilities

• Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
• Provide communication, confidence, and professionalism through active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
• Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team.
• Maintain accountability for delivering quality nursing care and promoting a positive image of nursing.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate’s, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse in Med/Surg, Telemetry, PCU, or ICU.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (employees with RN Compact License must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire).
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
