As part of the Clinical Resource (CR) Team, the Clinical Nurse serves as a system-wide resource, providing patient care within defined cohort areas: Acute Care, Critical Care, Emergency/Network of Care, and/or Ambulatory clinical areas.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers patient and family centered nursing care in one or more clinical areas while incorporating developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive, evidence-based care practices and methodologies.
  • Anticipates and responds to changes in patient outcomes in the provision of care.
  • Communicates and advocates patient values, preferences, and expressed needs as part of implementation of care plan, evaluation of care, and assessment of patient/family learning needs to the interdisciplinary team.
  • Initiates and anticipates individualized care and education for patients/families across the continuum using an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Communicates unit/department specific information to appropriate stakeholders to support patient care and overall operations.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with multidisciplinary healthcare providers to provide individualized patient/family care and education while minimizing risks to the patient during transitions of care.
  • Researches, compiles, and analyzes data and prepares case records, reports, and correspondence to facilitate communication, clinical decision making, error prevention, and care coordination.
  • Collects, monitors, and reports on quality of care outcomes and measures; provides input into the continuous evaluation and improvement of internal quality and safety processes, procedures, and performance measures.
  • Ensures compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and best practices to minimize the risk of harm to patients and providers.
  • Researches, identifies, and implements evidence-based practice to improve the quality of care provided to patients/families.
  • Minimizes risk of harm to patients and providers through both system effectiveness and individual performance.
  • Acts as an agent of change within the organization, supports professional development, and advances organizational goals.
  • Fosters the sharing of best practices and advances in clinical care between clinical areas of practice.
  • Builds and fosters collaborative relationships between areas of clinical practice.
  • Serves as an ambassador for the Staffing Resource Team by seeking feedback and recommendations on how the team can support units/departments in achieving their goals/objectives.
  • Communicates areas of opportunities to improve professional practice to key stakeholder groups with the goal of advancing healthcare outcomes.
  • Complies with and abides by the unit/department specific policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Actively engages in unit/department activities while providing services in that area.
  • Continuously seeks opportunities to advance knowledge and skills to provide timely, efficient, effective, safe, and person-centered care in assigned areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Two years of pediatric nursing experience aligned to cohort. Pediatric Critical Care experience preferred.
  • Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire.
  • ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.

Schedule

  • Multiple FTEs available. Must work 20 hours/week to be eligible for benefits.
  • Acute Care cohort - Night shift 6:45pm-7:15am.
  • Critical Care cohort - Night shift 6:45pm-7:15am.

Pay

Hourly range: $38.34 to $57.51 per hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Eligible for up to $4,400.00 in relocation benefits (100 miles or greater) for qualifying positions.
