About the Role
UnityPoint at Home offers a Nurse Residency Program designed to build on the skills you’ve learned in school and through clinicals, providing an individualized preceptor experience. As a home care nurse, you’ll work one-on-one with patients, often for extended periods, allowing you to develop strong patient relationships and deliver personalized care in the comfort of their homes.
The UnityPoint at Home Nurse Residency Program includes dedicated preceptors to help you transition from a student nurse to a confident professional RN. You’ll grow alongside other new RNs in your cohort and meet regularly with experienced mentors for support and guidance. The program adapts to the changing needs of your patients, helping you develop a variety of skills—from initial assessments and care planning to gaining autonomy in patient care decisions.
Upon completion of the program, Nurse Residents earn 36 hours of continuing education credit through the Iowa Board of Nursing. Watch this video to hear more from our team members about the Nurse Residency Program.
