About the role
The Research Nurse provides proficient professional nursing care to individuals participating in clinical research studies. The Research Nurse functions as an essential member of the multidisciplinary team that performs clinical research studies while simultaneously providing direct care to volunteers/patients. Research nursing principles and investigators and research administrative staff guide practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide proficient professional nursing care to individuals participating in clinical research studies.
- Function as an essential member of the multidisciplinary team performing clinical research studies.
- Provide direct care to volunteers/patients.
- Follow research nursing principles and guidelines.
- Work closely with investigators and research administrative staff.
- Adhere to FAHC Standards of Patient Care and Nursing Practice.
- Demonstrate dedication to professional growth and development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of research nursing care.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required.
- ADN required, BSN preferred.
- Experience in a clinical area is a must, with experience in a clinical research environment desired.
- A candidate with Phlebotomy and IV Experience is preferred.
- No on-call responsibilities.
- Benefit eligible and primary day shift schedule.
Qualifications
- Education: Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required. ADN required, BSN preferred.
- Experience: Experience in a clinical area is a must, with experience in a clinical research environment desired. A candidate with Phlebotomy and IV Experience is preferred.
