About the Role
We are seeking a Physical Rehabilitation RN (also known as an Inpatient Rehab Nurse) to specialize in caring for patients recovering from acute or chronic illnesses, injuries, or surgeries that require rehabilitation services. These nurses help patients regain independence, improve their physical and functional abilities, and adapt to new health circumstances.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients recovering from medical conditions such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, orthopedic surgeries, amputations, chronic diseases, or other conditions.
- Monitor patients’ medical status, vital signs, and responses to rehabilitation therapies; administer medications, manage IVs, and provide wound care as needed.
- Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and eating, in coordination with physical therapists and occupational therapists.
- Teach patients to use assistive devices, such as walkers, prosthetics, or wheelchairs.
- Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, and long-term care strategies.
- Participate in discharge planning, ensuring patients are prepared for a safe transition to home or another care setting.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- FIM score documentation knowledge.
- Certified Rehab Registered Nurse (CRRN) or similar certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Schedule
Full-time, night shift: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
