About the role

Provides professional nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes. Utilizes effective communication to collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and patients' families. Supports a safe work environment, maintains clinical competency, and adheres to facility policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; communicate proactively with team members to meet patient needs.
  • Follow evidence-based practices, participate in quality improvement, and contribute to research projects.
  • Use verbal and non-verbal communication effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Coordinate patient and family education to facilitate care transitions.
  • Support unit and hospital goals, participate in performance improvement processes.
  • Perform clinical skills specific to the nursing specialty and utilize technology to enhance care delivery.
  • Demonstrate leadership by mentoring colleagues, delegating tasks appropriately, and contributing to team development.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current licensure (RN) in the relevant state.
  • Knowledge of current nursing practices, strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Basic computer skills and commitment to ongoing competency development.
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, transferring patients, and standing/walking for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
