General Summary

Demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices. Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs).

About the Role

Float to at least 3 hospital locations. Required experience: 2-3 years of recent Med/Surg experience.

Requirements

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Two to three (2-3) years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice and a demonstrated level of performance required. Willingness to float to multiple locations.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Current BLS. Current ACLS, NRP, EFM, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS where required.
  • Knowledge and Abilities: Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
