About the role
Make a meaningful impact in acute care nephrology in the hospital setting as a regional float RN. DaVita is seeking an RN to provide dialysis care in a hospital setting for patients with end-stage renal disease and chronic kidney conditions. This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role where you’ll work directly with patients in ICU, CCU, ED, and other acute care units.
Responsibilities
- Deliver inpatient dialysis therapies, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and apheresis
- Collaborate with hospital teams and DaVita clinical staff
- Monitor patients, adjust treatment, and ensure quality outcomes
- Support and oversee patient care with the help of PCTs
- Adapt quickly in a dynamic hospital environment
Requirements
- Hemodialysis experience is required.
- Active MD and Washington, DC RN license required. (or willing to obtain prior to starting)
- Training may take place in a facility or a training facility other than your assigned home facility.
- Float to various facilities during and after your training will be required for this position.
- This position requires floating within MD and as far south as DC.
- You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday
- CNN/CDN certification (preferred)
- Must pass a color vision test (accommodations available)
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by hospitals in this program, which may include a booster when eligible.

Pay
- The Wage Range for the role is $45.00 - $62.00/hour.
- Registered Nurse Acute Float Experienced: $47.25 - $61.75/hour.
- Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
Schedule
- Work in a variety of hospital units within the region and rotate between facilities as needed
- Schedule includes regular and on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Daily schedules may change based on patient need.
