Qualifications
- Education: Minimum Associate's degree, diploma, or BSN required
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in Texas or compact state required; BCLS certification required; ACLS and PALS required within one year of employment or transfer to the department
- Experience: 5 years critical care experience preferred with good knowledge of cardiac drugs and arrhythmias; knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring helpful but not required
- Physical Requirements: Ability to move in excess of 100 pounds with assistance from other staff members; position requires wearing a lead apron and standing for long periods of time due to exposure to ionizing radiation
- Skills: Reads and writes basic English with skills necessary to transfer physician's orders; knowledge of sterile procedures required
