Position Responsibilities
- Counsels patients on health behaviors, compliance with therapeutic regimes, and technical procedures.
- Evaluates patient and family needs, abilities, and readiness to learn.
- Handles in-office and telephone emergency situations.
- Facilitates medication refills and follows up on lab results.
- Assists with minor surgical procedures and general medical treatments.
- Performs diagnostic tests and provides patient education.
- Assists residents and medical students in patient care.
- Participates in quality improvement projects.
Position Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months experience in a physicians practice/primary care.
- Knowledge of minor surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Graduate of an approved RN School of Nursing.
- Current NJ RN License.
- Current CPR certification.
Pay
$38.33 - $59.58 hourly
