Registered Nurse - Psych Emergency Department

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse - Psych ED to provide compassionate, high-acuity psychiatric care to adults and patients in crisis across inpatient and emergency settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care
• Conduct mental status and safety assessments
• Administer medications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Support patients with conditions such as depression, schizophrenia, mood disorders, and substance use
• Cross-train across inpatient psychiatric units and emergency psychiatric pods

Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license
• ADN or RN diploma
• CPR certification
• Knowledge of psychiatric nursing

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Experience in behavioral health, emergency department, or critical care nursing
