Registered Nurse - Psych Adult

Responsibilities

• Treat patients
• Provide education on mental and medical conditions
• Offer emotional support to patients and/or family members
• Run therapeutic groups
• Perform psychiatric crisis intervention
• Implement seclusion and restraint procedures
• Record patients' medical histories and symptoms
• Operate medical machinery
• Administer treatment and medications
• Support patient follow-up and rehabilitation
• Teach patients and their families about managing illnesses or injuries
• Provide dietary and exercise guidance
• Teach self-administration of medication and physical therapy

Qualifications

• Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
• Understanding of interdisciplinary treatment team process
• Knowledge of behavioral health programming
• Experience with inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
• Understanding of the continuum of care for behavioral health care

Pay

Competitive compensation with a reasonable estimate of $51.00 per hour. Exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selection.
