Registered Nurse - PRTF - .80 3rd Shift Part-time with Benefits

What You’ll Do

• Monitor the milieu and all restrictive interventions to ensure the safety and welfare of PRTF clients, as federal regulations require Registered Nurses (RN) to be in PRTF ratio 24 hours a day.
• Promote the use of the Neuro-sequential Model of Care.
• Manage medication and medical treatments.
• Observe clients for any health status changes.
• Coordinate emergent care and transport.
• Collaborate with Guardians to ensure each client’s essential well-child healthcare needs are met during their placement in the PRTF.
• Provide healthcare education to PRTF Treatment Team members, clients, family members, and other agency programs as needed (e.g., Medication Administration and Blood Borne Pathogen/Infection Control).
• Apply knowledge of child growth and development as it relates to the Neuro-sequential Model of Care.
• Explain procedures and treatments to clients to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension through awareness of comfort and safety needs of clients.
• Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and on-call availability to work additional shifts.
• Remain flexible to alter core scheduling when unexpected scheduling needs arise within the department.
• Flex to be included in the cottage or classroom ratio when the need arises.

Qualifications

• Valid and current RN, NC licensure from N.C. Board of Nursing.
• One year of crisis experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Valid NC or SC Driver’s License.
