Registered Nurse (3rd shift PRN)

About the role

Join our mission to help individuals with mental health disorders lead healthy and productive lives. Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) has immediate openings for a 3rd shift PRN, Registered Nurses to support clients experiencing mental health crises at our brand new Crisis Receiving Center (RC).

Responsibilities

• Triage and complete medical and psychiatric assessments
• Maintain accurate, real-time documentation
• Maintain safety standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to stabilize clients
• Promote trauma-informed care

Requirements

• Active RN license in Ohio
• Experience in mental health, addiction treatment, or crisis care strongly preferred
• Strong teamwork, empathy, and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications

• Able to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods (up to 12hr shifts)
• Adequate hearing and vision to assess patient behavior, respond to alarms, and observe
• Physically able to participate in appropriate and approved crisis management techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

Skills

• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
• Ability to manage stress and maintain composure in high-pressure situations

Pay

• Hourly rate of pay with applicable shift differentials

Schedule

• 3rd shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am
